Walking with Grief

series of archival photographs

These photographs of decay were taken while I was in Western New York from February to March for my mother’s death. The bleak, wintery landscape mirrored my grief. Walking and taking pictures were the two activities that seemed ‘normal;’ sharing these photographs attempts to bridge the isolation of grief. The only camera I had with me was a GoPhone, from  AT&T.
